Job Description

The Finance Business Partner is supporting Merkle operations in individual countries. He/she is a single point of contact for respective country management to handle finance related matters and works in a close cooperation with central finance team. The ideal candidate possesses business acumen to understand the business needs as well as knowledge of the local finance specifics and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and implementation of best financial practices
  • Single point of contact for finance related matters within the country
  • Liaising with central finance team and other finance business partners in the respective countries
  • Maintain and adhering to all company’s obligations towards government institutions
  • Main point of contact for governmental institutions
  • Onboarding and offboarding of suppliers and monitoring their adherence to Merkle processes
  • Supporting the preparation of management reports
  • Accounts receivable management
  • Works closely with external payroll providers
  • Supports the audit process, liaise with external auditors
  • Occasional communication directly with the Merkle clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • Knowledge of Czech Republic accounting specifics and legislation
  • Understanding of corporate finance
  • Excellent knowledge of Czech (due to the communication with government)
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 is an advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also within the team
  • Communication skills
