The challenge

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 260 airlines and 83% of total air traffic. As part of their digital transformation, Merkle DACH was challenged to design and implement a streamlined and automated solution to effectively support the mandates and business objectives of IATA Agency Management Programs and its customers worldwide. Merkle DACH was entrusted to deliver a Global Process, Global Technical Solution and Global Database, generating key benefits for IATA and its customers.

Improving their relationships management with travel agencies

Merkle is a strategic partner of IATA, serving the organisation across its two main hubs in Geneva and Montreal, by developing multiple Salesforce based systems. These systems allow IATA to manage their relationship with travel agents.

Improving their online presence

In addition to a new 24/7 IT support desk, IATA entrusted Merkle with the redesign of their new corporate website in their ongoing efforts to improve their wider service, to incorporate responsive design, fresh branding and align with business growth.
