Thomas is the Head of CX Platforms at Merkle EMEA. In this role he is looking after Merkle's business units that implement CX platform solutions for international brands as well as for SMEs across industries. Thomas brings in 15+ years of industry expertise, especially in digital service design, commerce, and data transformation, and is an expert in the Adobe stack for 10+ years. Thomas holds a master's in engineering and a PhD in business.

Holding a MSc in Computer Science / Business Information Technology from Konstanz University of Applied Sciences Markus joined Namics AG in St. Gallen, Switzerland in 2002. His very first projects and client relations were based on the product that eventually became Adobe Experience Manager (Day Communiqué). In 2008 he decided to leave the Content-world behind and join a Zurich-based startup as their CTO, building a Drupal based Social Collaboration platform. Since re-joining Namics in 2009, Markus held different positions as technical Consultant, Head of Content Technologies, and Principal Solution Architect. In November 2014 he co-founded the Serbia based Namics d.o.o. Belgrade (today Merkle d.o.o. Serbia) and since then also served as Adobe practice lead and nowadays as Director Adobe Solutions for Merkle DACH.
